Blog #3:

As I go on a search for more weapons in the sea suitable for me. I tried a few weapons at the Dragon King’s home, nothing really caught my eye. Until, I found the Golden Clasped Wishing Staff. After finding the weapon that made me feel like it was made for me. I felt like I needed more, I felt naked without any armor. I decided to ask the Dragon King for suitable armor to wear. The Dragon King then told me that he had no armor for me, I didn’t believe him. The Dragon King was trying to get rid of me because apparently I was too annoying for him. But I stayed and annoyed him until I received what I asked for. I got multiple things from each dragon. The Dragon of the North handed me some “cloud-stepping shoes made of lotus-fibre”. The Dragon of the South handed me a cap of “phoenix-plume and red gold”. Lastly, the Dragon of the West handed me a “jerkin of chain-mail, made of yellow gold”.

After receiving my ideal dream body, I dreamt about these two men coming towards me holding a document with my name on it. They tied me up and marched away, without letting me speak a word. Surprisingly, I found myself in the Land of Darkness. I immediately thought to myself why I have gotten there in the first place. I got confused in why they have arrested me, because I am an immortal and I have no end in my life. This made me fill up with anger, so I decided to escape and kill the messengers. After the killing of the two messengers, I encountered the ten judges and immediately asked them why they sent them to arrest me. The judges told me that I was taken by mistake. I didn’t believe them, so I demanded them to show me their ledgers and found myself still listed there! But not only did I find my name listed, I found my name listed next to a lifespan of 342 years! This angered me even more because I am an immortal, I’m supposed to live a long and peaceful life. So I immediately crossed out my name and all the other names of the monkeys listed in the monkey section, and stormed out of the Land of Darkness.

But after all, that was all a dream. Turns out I drank heavily and slept throughout the whole night. I then told my monkeys about my dream, and informed them that I crossed their names off the ledgers. From that time, I realized that many of the mountain monkeys never grew old. Which was because I crossed their names off the list.

At this point, I arrived in Heaven, where the Jade Emperor forgave me for my childish behavior, as I just learned the human ways. He then appointed me to supervise the Imperial Stables. At first, I was obviously perfect at my job, so my employees threw a feast for me, and made me feel honored. Right after, I realized that I don’t receive a salary and have no class rank in Heaven.
