I was hearing rumors, about this monkey who is causing trouble at heaven. He is a troubled monkey who is selfish and only cares about himself. I always had this mindset of him being punished and to be put out of his misery. I relied on the Jade Emperor and always believed in him to keep this Monkey out of trouble and to make him learn a lesson that he will remember until the end of his days. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as I expected…
Time goes by, and the Jade Emperor needed my help. I know it was about the Monkey but I made him carry on. He begged me to come and defeat the Monkey and make him get punished for all the crimes he committed. I went with my two best disciples Ananda and Kasyapa. I arrived and approached the Monkey. Him obviously being cocky as he is was talking about overthrowing the Jade Emperor and taking over. Little did he know, that the whole universe is the palm of my hand, but I let him go on just to make him feel good about himself. After he was finished talking about how great he is and being cocky in general, I decided to challenge him to a dare. I told him if he can jump out of the palm of my hand and reach the edge of the universe, I will be qualifying him to role heaven in this place. He accepted my challenge and decided to do it. He successfully jumped away to what he thought is the edge of the universe, where in reality he is at the palm of my hand at all times.
He thought that he reached these five pillars where its actually my fingers. I witness that he is writing on my fingers saying “the great Sun Wukong is here”. He was determined and ignorant, even urinating on my fingers. Disgusting. He came back feeling happy about himself and thinking that he did something fulfilling. I showed him my hands having the little writing that he wrote, and at the moment he realized that he messed up. Attempting to escape, I had to put him in his place. Using the palm of my hands, I put him under a mountain to make him stop all his troubles. He shall remain under a mountain and be trapped until there comes a day where he is needed the most. He has to learn the hard way to make him understand why he is put in there in the first place.
