Eastern Dragon Blog 2

I shall record my tale here, as I have nowhere else to do so. It was but a few days ago when the so-called Monkey King visited my kingdom where I ruled the World Below the Waves. It was then that the pest humiliated me and my brothers, and caused chaos in my domain. After that incident, I immediately went to seek out his highness the Jade Emperor in Heaven, and plead my case. I told him about the disrespect shown to me and my brothers, and how the Monkey may pose as a threat to his majesty. I was pleased to see that the Jade Emperor heeded my warning, and sent a force to arrest the blasphemous fool. As the proverb says, ” 不作不死。( Bù zuò bù sǐ).” Had the Monkey King not acted so foolishly and ignorantly, he may have spared himself from the consequences of his grave crime. However, the proverb also states “小洞不补,大洞吃苦。(Xiǎodòng bù bǔ, dàdòng chī kǔ),” that if the small holes are not fixed, they will grow into a much bigger problem for all. Such is the case of the Monkey King, whose ignorance threatens even heaven, and his arrogance knows no bounds. Upon exiting the throne room of his majesty, I saw a messenger of the dead, and upon asking what his business was I found that he too was harassed by the Monkey. I thought to myself that dealing with this problem should happen swiftly, else the outcome may be dire.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time passes and Monkey fights with Heaven ~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I was hearing some noises above the surface, so I naturally sent some scouts to investigate. They returned to me bearing the news that the Monkey was wreaking havoc upon the land, and was even doing battle with the divine army. I was shocked to hear this news, and I wondered what had happened to the order to place the Monkey under arrest. I inquired amongst my court and found that the Monkey had been accepted as a stable-boy in Heaven, but left due to his boundless pride. And now he is preparing his forces to do battle with Heaven, I only hope he receives the trial which awaits him. As the proverb says, “不善始者不善终。 (Bú shànshǐzhě bù shànzhōng),” bad beginnings lead to bad endings. No good can come from our current situation, of this I am certain.
If you would like to know what happens in the battle between the Monkey’s army and Heaven, await the next journal entry eagerly.
