Day 1

Dear diary,

The most bizarre thing happened today. I witnessed the Rock’s birth. The Rock that has been here since the beginning of time; the one that is made of the Heaven, the Earth, the sunlight, and the moonlight. It gave birth to a stone egg, which developed into a stone monkey. With all its body parts. Every organ and every limb. From a Rock. I have not seen something like this in all my lifetimes. It was wonderful.

This Monkey is going to become someone special. He’s either going to become a great hero, or raise havoc upon the Heavens and the Earth. I hope that he is of great benefit to the creatures of Earth. Maybe one day I will make this Monkey immortal and allow him to work with me in the heavens. The Jade Emperor and his Monkey sidekick. Sounds wonderful.

I can see Monkey standing by my side through it all. I can foresee his strength, his wisdom, his poise, his leadership. He will be great.

Even though I was very excited about the birth of this Monkey, I managed to contain my excitement and maintain my posture. I told them that anything that happens, I will not be surprised, because I am able to watch everything that happens down there. Nothing will go past me. Nothing goes over my head.

It’s been a few days since the birth of this Monkey. It has been very difficult containing my excitement. I have been secretly condescending low enough from the Heavens to be able to see what is happening to Monkey. He’s growing fast. He is a bit mischievous but I think he will grow out of it. I believe in him, and he will be okay.

I am very excited to report everything that is happening to this Monkey. He will be my right hand man.
